Julie Miller has been drawing and painting for  over twenty years. She received her degree in fine arts from Kansas State University. Her oil paintings include a variety of subjects, including portraits.

She is an active member of the Oklahoma Visual Artists Coalition, Oklahoma Art Guild, and the Edmond Art Association. She is a member of the faculty of Waterworks Art Studio in Tulsa. Viewed as one of Oklahoma’s finest art teachers, Julie also travels from Tulsa to Edmond to share her talents at the Fine Arts Institute of Edmond. She teaches classes for adults and teens, encouraging good drawing skills and the use of painterly techniques. 

Her award winning art is shown in local and regional art shows and festivals and many of her pieces are in private collections nation-wide. In addition to instructing, she also serves on the Sapulpa Arts Board of Directors.

Julie says of herself, “My approach is very direct and colorful. I am partial to paintings that show the process of brush, knife, paint and emotion. My favorite works portray ordinary scenes and familiar objects or places.”
